LINO PRINTING

This lino block print challenges the conventional perception of love. In a world where the mantra "All you need is love!" dominates, and finding a life partner is often considered life's ultimate goal, I've always questioned and resisted this notion. The phrase that sparked the creation of this piece is "All you need is love?"—prompting contemplation on whether love alone is truly sufficient. It delves into the skepticism about the idea that a partner should be the entirety of one's life.

The inclusion of the devil in this piece reflects my perception that love can be akin to heeding the devil's whispers. Despite recognizing that it may not be the right choice, we often succumb to its allure, creating a repetitive cycle of decision-making that mirrors the persistence of temptation.

This poster went through a meticulous process. It began with carving the lino stamp, followed by numerous test prints to achieve perfection. Eventually, I transformed the poster into a GIF.

This was part of the ideation process I tried sticking magazine letter cutouts and even embroidery to try to add different elements to the poster but ended up deciding
to do a digital GIF
